Tucows doesn't seem to want to discuss this -- I've sent off 3 e-mails in the
last week and have yet to get a response. Maybe someone else on the list knows
what Tucows is doing?

I have an angry customer demanding to know when he's going to get the domain he
won at auction. There are at least 4 different answers to this question,
depending on where you look:

The End User Terms and Conditions (which is presumably the legally binding
document), and the e-mail that is sent to the auction winner states,
"Approximately forty (40) days following the close of the auction, Tucows will
revise the "whois" to include your information as it appears in our records."
This is not happening, though, as the auction in question closed more than 40
days ago.

The end-user documentation located at
http://documentation.tucows.com/domainauction/enduser/index.html#>>pan=2
states, "If won in auction, the domain is placed in escrow and held for 60 - 61
days. The domain will be released to the winning bidder at the end of the
escrow period."

The auction FAQ located at
https://rrc.tucows.com/wholesale_services/domain_names/domain_auction/domainauction_faq
says, "What happens when a domain name is won using my auction site The domain
is placed in escrow for 90 days from the date the auction ended. At the end of
the escrow, once payment is received the name is transferred to your profile
and the proceeds from the auction are distributed."

So, we have at least 3 choices: 40 days in the contract, 60-61 days in the
end-user FAQ, and 90 days in the reseller FAQ. It seems to me that the 40 days
is the period that Tucows is contractually bound to, but they're apparently not
abiding by that contract.

Does anybody know the real answer?

Does anybody know how to get an answer regarding the status of a closed auction?

I'm ready to opt out of this completely (it's just a little too flaky for me),
but according to the FAQ, "Any auctions in progress will be terminated" upon
opting out. Does that apply to closed auctions in which the domain is already
in escrow?
