Actually we've found the staff at the Italian Registry extremely helpful - both on the telephone and by email. By all rights, they could just refer us back to our supplier (Tucows). I like Cherubini's suggestion though - in fact uploading documentation at the purchase time would speed up several of the ccTLD's.
