Tammy, not a stupid question at all. Yes, there is a convention The way
it was explained to me when I asked is - the Doobie Brothers sign a contract
with a venue for several days (more than 1 preferrably 3) and the fan club
plans a convention. This year it was at the Los Gatos Lodge in CA. We went
down on Tuesday and stayed until Sunday. We met other fan club members on
Wed, Thurs. and Fri. then we went to Villa Montalvo for three rocking
concerts. On Friday we had the fan club convention which included auctions
of Doobie donated items to raise money for the NVF and met the Doobie
Brothers. It was really cool. It is my belief that it has been in CA for
the past two years and Tom Johnston told the crowd he would see them next
year so I hear rumors of Saratoga 2001. If you get a chance, I highly
recommend going. It is wonderful to meet other people (fans from all over
the world) who share the same love of the DB's and their music. Hope to be
