Just to be a little bit pedantic....
There are about 250 "members" who are currently subscribed to the listserve
(us diehards...). However, according to Laurin, there are a SEVERAL THOUSAND
who have joined the fanclub via the web-site fanclub page. I believe the
newsletter/info. update is sent out to all of them.
Perhaps Laurin can clarify this once again?
Now if everyone who has ever joined the fanclub since the website was put up
in 1996 was to send an email.......
Not as popular as Lynyrd Skynyrd? - well, I find that very hard to believe,
also.

No, there has never been a "Behind The Music" special on the Doobie
Brothers. I met the producer of that show recently and made a point to
ask him if they would consider the Doobies in a future show. At first he
said no, but then I told him about the tour, the new CD, the box set and
so on. Then he told me that he agreed that he himself would like to see
something done on the Doobie Brothers, but he doesn't think it will happen.
His reasoning is that they just aren't as popular as other bands like
Lynyrd Skynyrd and Chicago for example. But he DID agree with me and he
likes the Doobie Brothers himself so it wouldn't hurt to email VH-1 and
suggest it. Realistically, our 250 members are not going to have much of
an impact, but it can't hurt and you never know!
