Subject: What more can be said...
What more can be said? We are all so lucky to
belong to this group, centered around the greatest group of people on this
planet...The Doobies Brothers!
After seeing and hearing all the awesome things
that went on at Saratoga, and all the other stops along the tour,
it's hard to measure the impact that this group
of people can have on peoples lives. From the memories of the concerts, past
and present, to the people you meet in this fan club with the common bond of
the Doobies, and to the raising of awareness of all the causes that the
Brothers support all over the world. The Vets, Wildlife Federation, Children's
Hospitals...
And then there's all the great things they do for
us...the fans. There never was or will be another group that is so dedicated
to their fans as The Brothers. They work their tails off going around the
world to bring us the best music, and still find the time and energy to meet
with us, talk to us, sign auto's, and let us take pictures. And be
so gracious while we act like total fools in the presence of these
Gods.
Now they post the songs for us on the net to
download... for free! There is NO other group that does this much to show
their appreciation to their fans. Well, maybe after you pay for your
membership. Maybe I'm a little biased, cuz I never really looked around
in any other fan club. There are no other fan clubs out there,
are there?
So...if VH1 can't open their eyes to see these
guys do a little more for the world than Brittney Spears or Boy George, screw
'em! I say we go right to congress and have The Doobie Brothers promoted
to:
"Official Band of the United States of
America"
I mean, don't they stand for
everything American? Peace, freedom, giving, family values, supporting of all
good causes. It's the only logical thing to do. Screw the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame. That's for those little un-knows like Rolling Stones and the Beatles.
Let's do it people...write you congressmen now!!!
That's my humble little opinion of
what I think this band is all about. What do you think?
Peace and love,
Scott in South
Florida
