Gary, I must agree with you. As a player myself, I don't care for keyboard bass
either. but, I feel there is a time and place for everything and it does fit in
certain styles of music, and there are some great keyboard players that do a good job.
As far as my comments about Skylark, I want everyone to know, I'm not slighting Tiran
at all. He is the real deal !!! I feel he is the original bass player even though he
started on the 2nd album, but that's the one that hit big and really got the Doobies
rolling. Listen to Tirans bass playing on Cotton Mouth. I love the line he puts on
there. That's what made the Doobies great. They knew what to play and when to play
it.
