Well, given the (recent and ongoing) financial status of California's two
largest utility companies (now 13 Billion dollars in debt), our now infamous
"Rolling Blackouts" and the fact that California is now in it's 41st day of a
"Stage 3 Power Alert" (meaning there is less than 1.5% of reserve power left
for the entire state), I think one must consider where they would rather be
in the event of the loss of power during a concert. Let's see... L.A., hot,
smoggy, common occurance of drive-by shootings, major traffic hassles and
tie-ups, very over-crowded, etc.
Then there is Saratoga... tucked away in the Santa Cruz Mountains, clean
mountain air, more than adequate parking, friendly people, no drive-by
shootings, clear days and nights with a thousand stars in the sky as you
watch the concert.... hmmmm, I think I would not only rather be caught in
Saratoga in the event of a rolling blackout, but it sounds like a much better
venue altogether. My vote is for Saratoga. TOGA, TOGA, TOGA!!!!
