First order of the day, I hear ya Ann. Sad that one of the albums has to go. But
Thor's just doin his job. This is fun, Thor. By the time I bought the Doobie's Intro
album, I was already up to Takin it to the Streets in my collection. My first thought
listening to it back then was "aaawwww... baby stuff. Isn't that cute?" It took me
years later to appreciate it.
Now...about the paradoobies. Skylark is one, Marc Russo is one and so is Guy Alison.
Wasn't Dan Hull one too? I wonder. Who decides if they get to BE a Doobie Brother?
I've been trying to make sense of it and can't. Guy looks like his schedule is pretty
free. When will he be adopted? Marc Russo would be free if it weren't for wailing on
Coke and Clorox commercials...heavy, Marc. And then there's Skylark. The Doobs have
always had base players (ie Willie Weeks). My imagination is galloping into a
whirlwind of speculations but I'm sure someone out there knows the real "Behind the
Music" story on Paradoobies. If not, want me to speculate?(that sound kinda gross,
doesn't it?)
