However, he gave up on Kubuntu quite a while ago, having tried it over
several releases. These days he installs Ubuntu and then KDE.
Personally, I just install Ubuntu and the KDE apps and libs I need.
I think it's worth remembering that no distro is perfect, not yet
anyway, so whilst you could look elsewhere but you'll probably end up
hitting similar levels of success and failure, just with different
aspects of the system.
