My ZYxel wireless USB stick has been working at 16% signal strength, and

I borrowed a Belkin F5D7050 which is quite an old one and I get a
marvelous 42% strength. It dropped right in without any reconfiguration.
Before buying an old one I wondered if I bought a new one supporting
802.11n as well as 'b', whether it would work under Linux.

Does anyone have any experience of 802.11n devices in Linux?

Hi Peter-

My experience is that almost no 802.11n USB devices work in Linux, so be careful!

Also, be aware that sometimes two apparently identical devices, the same in appearance, from the same manufacturer, may actually have completely different chipsets in them, meaning one might work and one might not. Sometimes, if you're lucky, there will be a "v1" or "v2" on the small label on the unit to differentiate the revisions.
