I don't know of any Libraries being closed, and I don't have good links
into the library service. The libraries are being helped to become
community libraries, or as I refer to it, being released into the wild.
I do understand that all the public use computers are going to be
updated throughout the Library service, but I don't know when. If your
other suggestion doesn't bear fruit, or screens, I'll ask. 

When one of the computers in Colehill library had been out of action for
about three months, I contacted the library service and asked if they
would permit me to have a look at it.  Resounding Negative response!

A few short weeks after they came and fixed it - took it away so that
there was no broken PC there.
