I installed libnetpbm11_10.90.00-ppa_amd64.deb followed by netpbm_10.90.00- ppa_amd64.deb and it worked! What's more the resulting image loaded on the Tiny-TV screen properly :-) Tomorrow, I'll modify the script to fetch a directory full of images and spit them all out as png files.
