There's also increased verbosity:
--enable-logging=stderr --v=1
That will probabaly produce lots of output, but perhaps the tail end of
it contains something interesting about why it's stopped.
I expect you're not alone in suffering so check where others of your ilk
reside— Kubuntu + snap Chromium— for similar recent complaints?
