Peter Drayton and I were having a fierce discussion over some parts of the licensing model in Rotor, and I'm curious to throw it out to the group at large and see what emerges.
In particular, we were discussing Rotor hosting, and I was suggesting that various "hosts", like the database folks like MySQL and/or mSQL, or the Apache crowd, could host Rotor much as other databases do a JVM; Peter was saying that they couldn't, since their products' licensing models allow commercial use, where Rotor doesn't. I believe they could, so long as users of the MySQL and/or mSQL and/or Apache products weren't using the Rotor functionality for commercial use. Peter thinks I'm on crack. Can somebody help Peter and me get back to blissful harmony? :-) Ted Neward { .NET && Java } Author, Instructor http://www.javageeks.com http://www.clrgeeks.com
