Yes, using an object handle seems not to be the best solution in this particular case. I was using them since the start of my Rotor project, but after some checks I've done, this particular case is different to the others I've been using them. Seems also that GCPROTECT_XXX macros do exactly the same, so I must think about this situation. I wasn't aware of the problem with the 'this' reference, thank you very much for pointing that out. I tried to avoid object creation, but in the particular situation that I described I'm afraid it isn't possible, so let's hope I could cope with it :).
