Hi. Other choices are VistaDB, MongoDB and MySQL. MySQL being the advanced alternative that has to be installed. VistaDB only need a DLL to accompany the program at installation. It all come down to your needs in terms of DB complexity.
Personally I don't like MS Access because the support/drivers isn't included in the newer versions of Windows.
