Hello Salvatore,

You're right there is no real reason to move to Wheezy first, except that I
have an ARM prototype running on Wheezy that just needs the main menu to get
working. I started to work on that topic in December 2013 and stopped at the
following point:

* The session Whole DDL was working
* GDM2 was replaced with LightDM + webkit (custom build) – no menu
* Delphine started to design a new main menu, to be ported to Html (because of
webkit)
* Our Debian repositories was populated with new packages for i686, amd64,
armel, armhf and raspbian

NB: Because of the recent availability of RPi 2 which is binary compatible with
armhf, I plan to give up raspbian, since RPi version 1 is too slow for DDL and
can only run (too small) a subset of its applications. Moreover it's more
complicated to cross-build for raspbian, from an amd64 system, while it's quite
easy for armhf.

Jessie may be or should be out before DDL 2.2, so we can instead base v2.5
directly on Jessie, supposing there is no blocking, technical issue. I must say
I still haven't looked at Jessie, I can't tell if there are many changes or
not, especially concerning LXDE. I suggest we re-discuss this option (Wheezy or
not) once 2.2 is out.

Cheers,
JM.
