There is a bug report for Thunderbird 3.0 and CONDSTORE: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=524902 Setting mail.server.default.use_condstore = false in Thunderbird disables CONDSTORE support and gets rid of this issue...
