Please note that "disable_plaintext_auth" is a 2.3 config and it has been replaced in 2.4 by "auth_allow_cleartext" which defaults to no. See: https://doc.dovecot.org/2.4.2/installation/upgrade/2.3-to-2.4.html#converted-settings gene
