I would expect that the latest version of the code in CVS fixes this.

The routine which 'finds' the DQSD window has been enhanced to cope with 
these 'off taskbar' dockings.   In the release 3 version, the DLL can't 
find the searchbar if it's docked off the taskbar, so the hot-key setup 
doesn't work.

If you wanted, you could take a new DLL from 
http://www.indcomp.co.uk/dqsd/DQSDTools.zip and try that.
