Not sure. I really like the simplicity of an alias. I hate to write/maintain/load an XML file if it doesn't add features. I think I'd prefer adding it to aliases.txt as a shortcut, although naming it something other than 'dhtml' would probably be wise -- dhr (DHTML Reference) to avoid collisions with searches for 'dhtml', and w3r for the w3.org search.
