The thing is that it's *not* just a quick-launch replacement. That's
close to what the search I built for it does, but the functionality it
exposes provides the ability for searches and addins to both create an
alternate view-port of the DQSD toolbar, which can be used for pretty
much anything. It is readily toggled between the two views, defaulting
to 'normal' DQSD view.

Without these, or at least similar, changes to the search.htm, I don't
know that it's possible to manipulate the toolbar in this fashion
either in scripts or add-ins. These changes really are a necessary
search.htm modification in order to provide the ability to do major
interface changes via code later.

You can always disable the floax search (the one that operates similar
to a quick-launch replacement) if you aren't going to use it. ;)
