Summary: IE and taskbar lockup

Initial Comment:
I've spent a long weekend verifying that when I launch
IE from the deskbar (by searching for something), the
first time I click any link in the new IE window IE locks
up and so does my taskbar.

If I launch IE myself, (ie, click the IE icon) this problem
doesn't happen.

This problem started recently for me. I must have
upgraded to a newer version of DQDS. At first I
assumed I had some kind of virus. Nope. Then I
assumed my Windows was messed up. It had been a 4
years since my last reformat. I reformatted my HD and
reinstalled. Seriously.

I immedately installed DQDS and the problems started
immediately. I didn't suspect DQDS but after a while I
started to notice things working if I never used DQDS.
After using my machine with no problems for several
hours I turned DQDS back on and did a search and sure
enough, the first link I clicked in that window looked up
IE and the taskbar again.

I did notice once that it's not strictly a lockup because
one time while it was locked up I got a phone call.
While I was on the call, maybe 20 minutes in, all of a
sudden it unlocked. So, that could mean there is either
some timeout issue or some incredibly long loop.

I'm running American XP Pro with all the latest patches.

I guess I should go through the release notes and see
what changed but I thought I should log the bug
