Hmmmmm. This gives me an idea. You know, most applications these days
provide a means of completely skinning the interface to look like
whatever the heck you'd want it to. It should be possible to create a
'search' that would provide the ability to 'install' a new theme -
something along the lines of httpinst, but it would create a folder
locally that would house dependent files specifically for that theme
and overwrite the standard css file with a replacement that did all
the mods.
Directory structure should be something like the following:
\%dqsd%
\themes
\%themename%
\theme.css
\dqsd.png
\other-dependent-files
The 'themeinst' tool would take a URL or a theme name as argument and
would either activate the existing theme (by overwriting the
%dqsd%\search.css file with the theme.css file) or download it,
creating the files and *then* provding the option to activate it.
Any thoughts?
I don't see how this would be a difficult mod to accomplish, and it
would get those 'interface geeks' like Monty off our backs. j/k ;-)
BTW, 3.1.8 is AWESOME. Thanks everyone!
