I've got no problems with it, but I think you might rather use parseArgsEx() in the searches that require this functionality, for backwards compatibility. Looks like Brent created that function exactly for that reason. The code is in defer_tools.js, about half-way down. parseArgs() and parseArgsEx() I've got no problem changing this on a 'global' scale - but I don't use all hte searches - in fact, I use only about 10-15% of them, so I don't know in what specific situations this could cause problems, or why it wasn't done already.
