Anyone want to update the http://www.dqsd.net/reviews.htm with this?
http://www.anova.org/software/index04.htm#internet Dave's Quick Search Deskbar (Dave Bau) 5 Agile. Dave's Quick Search Deskbar, which is somewhat like the Google Deskbar, is a perfect example of why small, targeted software can do a better job than big, bloated, commoditized, less interesting software. I say it's somewhat like the Google Deskbar, only Dave's is better, faster, smaller, is loaded with features, and most of all: it's usable. All the things you do with the Google Deskbar, you can do with Dave's, usually better, from defining words and terms, using Google as a calculator, looking up people and addresses, spell checking, and if I type in "100usd>eur," I can find current value of a US Dollar in Euros. You can customize almost every part of it; make small or large; display the date and time when inactive; and I don't know how it manages to do it, but it actually performs a Google search incredibly fast - significantly faster than the Google Deskbar. It's freeware and it's unbelievably powerful and agile if you want a search window on your taskbar. Dave Bau himself is extremely sharp, and for a brief interview with him on Deskbar, go here. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jason Grunstra" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, January 18, 2004 4:47 PM Subject: [DQSD-Users] SourceForge.net: Detail:797874 - 2 JavaScript errors in Search.htm - App won't run Hello, please help! With every new release of the toolbar I hope that my problem will be fixed, yet I am still unable to get my favorite program of all time (Dave's Toolbar) to work! I have waited through 3 version releases hoping the most recent would give me back he power of the toolbar... To no avail =( I just tried 3.1.8 and I am still having the same problems. Anyways... I first posted my problem here (and the same problem still exists: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=797874&group_id=42 081&atid=4320 I have searched through the old forums and the new looking for answers. Is there anything I can do to help get the problem fixed? I'll do whatever it takes to help debug the problem. I am lost without the toolbar! Thanks! -Jason BTW: I recommended the toolbar to Zaine over at 'The Great Software List' and I see he gave you a great review and added it to his site.
