Maybe, but I have made a LOT of searches, and if it weren't for my
"exps" and "expls" aliases ("explore (local) searches directory"), I
would waste a bunch of time trying to find the folder each time. Sure,
it's in an obvious place, but it's still buried. Even with hidden files
disabled on my OS it would take longer to get to the local searches
folder if it were inside the appdata folder.
The second thing I do (the first is to look at the source of the form)
whenever I want to create a new search is look at the source of an
existing search I want to emulate functionality from - usually they're
in my local searches folder because that's where the two-dozen-plus
custom searches I use in my day-to-day business reside (built for
specific services I provide and need to access - one of them has over 30
forms in it). Anyway... customizing DQSD isn't always (ever, for me) as
simple as editing the local prefs, local aliases and local stylesheet.
If it weren't for the local searches, which really need to be
"explored", I would struggle to build new searches, instead of having a
it working within a couple minutes each time.
