To give you an idea, the toolbar itself is a webpage that runs in an IE process. The dll has hooks into shlwapi.dll and wininet.dll, both of which are part of the integration of IE into Windows. The shell-toolbar functionality (which makes DQSD what it is) is an exposed feature of IE4+. I'm pretty sure it would be pretty difficult to make it work without IE. I've attempted to make it into a search-box on a webpage - and will post information here if I ever do finish it - but I've had less than perfect results already. ;) Regards, Shawn K.
