Thanks fer the heads up Thom...I must say I am more than a little agravated by this issue. I've endured some pretty bad RFI, over the years, from nearby power lines. The utilities have very seldom been responsive to the issue.
Here are the comments I sent the FCC...A little emphatic, excited maybe, but, no cussin'!!
Docket-03-104...Have you lost your minds?? The power companies are already well in excess of their fair share of RFI!! Now to get broadband up and down their wires, they're gonna have to belt out a pretty good signal, all the way up to 800mhz, to get past the rest of the garbage they generate!!! C'mon, the rest of the communications world has some pretty strict requirements to comply with, and, individually, each member of the communications world lacks the financial wherewithall to snub our noses at the FCC when we are out of compliance...Not so the utilities!!! They do it every day!!! Please come to your senses and do the right thing, don't allow this....Make them use the proven technology that everyone else has to use...They don't OWN the FCC...DO THEY????
