It just pulls off. If it doesn't slide off fairly easily, you can pry with a screwdriver blade between the outer brass sleeve and the front of the switch bushing. Just insert the blade and twist slightly. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to the switch wafer while doing this. They WILL break. Once started, the selector lever should come off easily.
It IS keyed so it only goes on the right way. Also be careful to not lose the fiber shaft reducer inside the knob, (or left on the inner shaft when the knob is removed,) when removing the knob. When replacing the knob, be sure that the longitudinal slot in the fiber reducer is at right angles to the setscrew to allow it to compress when the setscrew is tightened. Otherwise you may split the knob trying to get it tight enough to hold without slipping! The knob is aligned with the pointer to the right (toward the main tuning knob) when the four adjuster screws are at their maximum travel toward the rear of the receiver.
