I purchased my R4C & T4XC off this guy, when it arrived;

1, the R4C didnt work,
2, case was also badly dented,
3, was supposed to be "Loaded"
3, upon inspection I found it had been dropped that hard that the power
transformer was on that much of an angle (about 25 Deg's) that it jarred the
3rd mixer (6EJ7) out of place and could not be re-inserted into it's socket
without first straightening the Transformer, No extra filters, this was a "Mint
collecters condition from my own personal collection" description.

Just as well I live in Australia otherwise I would've knocked on this Guy's
front door with a crowbar, no effort was made for refund due to damage only neg
feed back to me.

The thing I just cant fathom is really there isnt that much good DRAKE equip on
epay, so where does he get it from??

He has another L75 (S/n344) this one's rare and unused!!! also L4B (S/n 6122)
mint and unused, as well as a myriad or other "mint, near new, collectors
condition, close to new, from estate, new tubes, rare find, best i've ever
seen, close to mint, from my personal collection",,,,, listed this week, it
would be interesting to log S/n's and see how many appear again I'm sure there
would be one or two.

Yes all should be very Weary of Radio-Mart E-Bays BIGGEST SHILL BIDDER AND
CROOK,For years he denied being GOTTAHAVEIT1995 that is the buying arm then
Radio-Mart gets out the can of endust or pledge and viola instant brand new
finest kind part of my personal collection.etc etc. That Brit is a lying piece
of S**T

The "Red Velvet" store resells what hisbuying arm (gottahave something or
other name) snipes and wins. This guy is BAD news..the R4B listed as "MINT"
and "STUNNING" what a laugh!! obviously seller has a sight problem...I hope
the winner knows what he's getting.

I would guess he has someone bid the auctions up for him, because he relists
a lot of radios (ones that apparently didn't sell for as much as he paid for
them.)

Good Epay seller to stay away from.

      That's one gnarly looking R-4. L

I wonder how keeping the user id's of bidders private helps his cause?
Keeps a class action hard to do?

I'm getting a little tired of that red velvet background myself but on
the other hand, it makes it easier to ignore those listings. Check out ebay
item 250050808246. This is an R-4B in supposedly "collector's condition".
However, the small knobs are not original, there is paint missing on the
cabinet, and evidence of corrosion near the extra crystal sockets in the back.
But the piece de resistance is the missing fuse cover. I wonder if this thing
works at all? Let the buyer beware. The fool who wins this auction deserves
what he/she gets.

      Hi Drake folks,

I recently purchased a TR-3, but needs a power supply. Will either AC-4
or AC-3 work ok? How much should I expect to shell out? Trying to avoid the
eBay radiomart guy, but he seems to have the market cornered.

      Thanks & 73,

      Chuck
