What exactly are the 2n4402 and 2n3566 doing in the circuit? Looks a little like doing voltage/current regulation for the mc1723 chip itself.
If I determine that I want to use a modern power supply, is a 25 A continuous with say 28-30 A surge adequate for the TR7? The specs on the PS7 indicate that it is 25 A continuous, but says nothing on the surge which I am going to guess is more like 35-40 (I know Drake over engineered it).
