I must have missed this question......
The Lower SSB filter is at the "bottom" of the "U-shaped" bracket and
the USB is at the open end in the T-4X(any).
The TR-4 doesn't really have Upper and Lower filters as the produced SSB
changes depending upon the band because of the mixing scheme used. They
ARE however marked U and L! The U filter is closest to the bandswitch.

Carey,
I dont have anything apart at the moment to check, so I can't tell
you which filter is on top, but the filters should be marked with
-2.4L and -2.4U. The lower sideband filter is used in the LSB position
and vice versa. The TR-4 is a bit different in that either filter, L
or U, can be used for the opposite sideband depending on the band.
