Rick,

So is there a difference betten the MN-2000 and lets say the LDG-1000PRO?

Am I better off buying an antenna tunner?

Thanks!

Bill,
Just remember the MN-2000 is a transmatch and not an antenna tuner.  All it
really does is match the 50 ohm output impedence of your transmitter to the
impedence it sees at the end of the coax.  From the coax connector on, you
still have all the SWR and heat loss due to dissapation.  Good luck.

Thanks for all the wonderful answers!

I was reading through the manual last night and on Page 1-2 it says:

50 ohm coax with SWR of 5:1 or less.

So I am going to tune the antenna somewhere in the middle so my SWR will be
like 3:1 rather than try to tune almost 6:1.

I dont want any sparks or arcing the the MN-2000 since its brand new :)
