I turned on the R4C to discover that audio was only being output in the AM
mode. The trouble turned out to be the BFO device, Q5, an NPN device 2N3394.
I replaced it with a 2N2222A and we're back in business. I have not seen this
failure posted on the Drakelist so thought I'd drop it in here. The transistor
was open between all junctions.
