I recently bought a TR 7. The radio worked fine until I transmitted,
which waited until I was able to get the matching Drake mike. I made one
contact who said the audio sounded as though I had some transformer hum. I
finished that QSO and then the radio pilot lights started to vary and then
the radio shut down entirely. I looked carefully at all the usual problems
of fuses (the main fuse had been removed and wired over) and burnt
components, finding none. Any thoughts on what this might be and most
importantly, how much it might cost to repair? Thanks so much for your help.
