Hi Jim,

Both Drake's 1544 adapter and Lee Craner's homebrew adapter use the R7 In/Out socket to power the RV75. This socket is limited to 0.25 Amp. However, my R7 is powered by 13.8 VDC through this socket already and it would make for a much neater project if the RV75 could be wired into the Cinch plug for the accessory socket.

I want to operate a RV75 from this source.

Michael,

The R7 was designed to accept a RV75 on this connector using an optional
adapter cable sold be Drake. There are plans on how to homebrew one on WB4HFN's
web site, among others.

If you don't plan on transceiving with a TR7, you can just leave the TR7
connector out.
