One pin is ground, the other is hot. Plugged in one way, the amp will be keyed continuously. Reverse the plug and it should work fine. 73, Garey - K4OAH Glen Allen, VA Drake 2-B, 4-B, C-Line& TR-4/C Service Supplement CDs <www.k4oah.com> ted orant wrote: > I have a vox cable for keying ameritron amp from tr7 power supply.I > figure maybe end going into power supply has to go a certain way.Cable > was for tr4 ac4 supply.but tr7 supply has same setup..Just a 2 pin > male end.Any help appreciated. It is good for 1000 Watts "average" according to the manual, and has over 80 db attenuation at 41 MHz. This one looks great, and includes the paper work. $30 Drake TV-5200-LP This is the more modern version of the Drake TV-1000 Low Pass Filter. This is the filter that may also be used on the low end of six meters, as well as HF. It is good for 1000 Watts average below 30 MHz, and about 200 W up to 52 MHz. It works fine, and is in very nice shape. $35 Case for Drake TR-33 C This is the black case that fits the Drake TR-33 C, and has cutouts in the back for antenna, power, etc. It includes the shoulder strap, and is in good shape. $12 Case for Drake TR-22 As above, but for the TR-22. No shoulder strap. $10 3 pin mic plug for TR-22 This is the small 3 pin mic plug that fits the Drake TR-22 mic jack. It is much smaller than most of the mic connectors. This one has been used, but should still be usable some more. $10 Communications Speaker This 4 inch square speaker is optimized for communications frequencies (300 to 3000 Hz). It is in a black enclosure, and is an 8 ohm speaker. It has a cord with a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) mono plug on the end. Shure 104 C, Low Z hand Microphone This is a very heavy duty Shure mic. It appears to be new, with stripped and tinned ends that have never been on a connector. It is in its original box, with the original instruction manual. $30 Chrome Low Z Hand Microphone This mic is chrome plated. My memory says it may have come from a Polycom rig. The mic is a good solid metal case with chrome plating all around, with a black PTT switch and black coiled cord. There are some pits on the chrome; it works fine. $30 Generic Hand Microphone This is a low impedance hand microphone, black in color. With 4 pin connector. $25 With no connector. $22 Lafayette EAM-15 dynamic hand microphone 2000 ohm impedance can be used any place a dynamic mic is needed. Stripped and tinned leads. It works fine, and looks good also. $25 Generic Hi Z Hand Microphone This hand mic is black in color, and looks like it might have come from a HyGain rig. It has a PTT switch and black coiled cord. $25 Johnson Hi Z Hand Microphone This high impedance hand mic is a gray color, with the Johnson logo with the Viking on it. It has a PTT switch and coiled cord, and produces a nice pattern on the scope. It looks extremely good also. Not a scratch on it, and it even shines! Thank you.. Ted If the amp keys immediatly when you plug it in, reverse it. That's all there is to it. Or you COULD use an ohmmeter to find out which side of each end is common (ground)..... 73 -Jim -- Ham Radio NU0C Lincoln, Nebraska, U.S.S.A. I know what is wrong, but have not dived into it yet. I was just wondering if anyone it seems like the agc is screwed up. receiver is full gain, audio distorts on strong signals turning down the rf gain clears things up now... on strong signals, the s-meter deflects backwards! Yup! goes down instead of up. got to be something in the balance circuit that's upsetting things. yeah, changed out a few tubes and no joy anyone?
