Folks, I've got a problem here that's worrying me because I don't know what to do and Sweepstakes is coming up. After tuning up on a band - sometimes using the transmatch, sometimes not - I'll get SWR readings on the transceiver that jump around from SWR HI to 1.0:1. Rig is feeding my faithful L-4B. The problem doesn't appear when the amp is bypassed. I occasionally get arcing behind the band switch on first keying and it's possible that once a few weeks ago I had a case of parasitic runaway, which I solved by snapping the power switch off. I fear the RF deck is sick and needs medical care. Would very much appreciate advice.
