Well, fired up the T-4X and R-4A tonight and checked into the Virginia Net
(CW). Everything worked fine. After tune-up I throttled back the Po to
around 60w using the GAIN control so as not to stress the PA tubes too much
(I have no idea how old they are).
Garey, you're right, listening to oneself on the R-4A is 'way better
than using the high-pitched CW sidetone. That thing really sucks.....it
sounds like my old Don Bosco "Mosquito" signal test probe. :-)
