I got the 3000 pf SM caps today and soldered it in. For the first hour, the thing sounded great and, THEN -- it started "jumping around" again! Arrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It sounds like rubbish again, too!
At this point, I'm going to put it aside and keep looking for either an entire PTO assembly or a junker with a PTO still in it that I can Frankenstein. If anyone here has the equipment and time to look at a challenge, I'll gladly ship the PTO to you if you'd like to have a go. This is unbelievably frustrating!
