Steve, Thanks again for all your most useful input. I will certainly be contacting International Crystal. Your memory is only off by a fraction. It is the 20 metre band which is 'backwards'. Regrettably I do not have an oscilloscope but recognise that I am going to need one. My main interest is in gear that I have some hope of servicing, not mysterious black boxes. Regards, DamienG3XER
