I have similar problems with my VIA MVP3 chipset and radeon 32 SDR. Debian
unstable, X 4.0.3 with the version 0.7 radeon and Extras binaries. I have no
total crashes, but the 3d acceleration works for 2 minutes after which the
screen gets garbled and the only way to restore it is a reboot. The system
runs fine otherwise, I'm able to take it down blind.
