I finall got a new(er) video card, a Rage128Pro
in my box (damned NVIDIA mess)
The AGP and DRM kernel modules are not auto loading.
If I load them first, then I get Direct, HW accel
rendering. But the don't load on their own.
Should they? Am I missing something in modules.conf?
It a Red Hat 7.2 based system, updated, and
a 2.4.16 kernel. I use the console framebuffer
in 1024x768 then start X.
It's a 800MHz SlotA T-bird, and a MSI board
with an AMD 750 chipset (north ad south bridge.
no VIA chips:)
How do I speed up AGP? It looks to be in 1x mode, not 2x.
