Mike,

Fixing this field allows us to have binary compatability with the
libGL.so RH and others are shipping (XFree86 4.*).  When direct
rendering, the libGL.so layer is a very thin layer, and the new TCL
replacement driver can completely encapsulate the Mesa 4 functionality.

Without this fix you must replace the libGL.so with the one in the DRI
repository.  With this fix, you can keep any previously released version
from XFree86 4.*.
