You might see it more often with current DRI CVS, because there's more
2D acceleration with DRI enabled there. :/

Maybe you can fix it instead? It could be a similar problem to the one
Tim Smith just tracked down in the radeon driver: it didn't always have
the 3D engine wait for the 2D engine to go idle before doing something
(see the RADEON_WAIT_UNTIL_[23]D_IDLE() macros). I don't think the r128
driver has any of this yet.
