I haven't heard of any efforts or even plans yet. From what I remember
of the r200 driver development, I imagine a working driver is months
away even if work started right now.

Things aren't looking too good in this area unfortunately. I don't know
whether ATI can't or doesn't want to provide docs about these features,
but I suspect the former.
