------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-29-07 13:43 ------- First of all, thanks to everyone working on this code - my IGP320M based laptop now has accelerated 3D. At least, some of the time. Other times it kernel panics. After trying a few things - checking agpgart and radeon modules are loaded, that the XFree radeon rather than kernel radeon module is in use and everything else mentioned in this report is set up correctly - I have tracked it down to one thing: is the network connected. [After a few minutes experimentation, some network sniffing, and a lot of kernel panics...] OK, it is a DNS problem. If the noteback can resolve its own name then it works. If the host name lookup fails then it panics. Simple to fix: add entry in /etc/hosts I'm sure it worked when running the previously running X (Mandrake 9.1 installation with X 4.3.0) without a network connection, but it is unlikely to be the fault of the graphics driver code. Thanks again for the 3d accel. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.xfree86.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
