Wow, I've actually got some 3D acceleration now. I disabled page-flipping and
the freezing ceased.
I do still on occasion get a lockup that requires me to ssh in and kill the
offending application. I'm only had this while resizing the the application
window though, and it only happens about 1 in 4 times (kind of annoying though).
The only graphical problems I've noticed so far was a little bit of missing
textures in tux-racer (tux's feet and face were white).
I think I downloaded the updated patch that didn't have page-flipping enabled,
so maybe this explains the freezing? I'll try that out soon.
Anyone else experience any freezing like I've described???
Just got your post then... I didn't explicitely copy them over if that's what
you mean? Do I need to copy over more than just the radeon.o module?? I
installed the patched XFree86, as well as copying the radeon.o module over, but
nothing else.
