------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-19-08 14:03 -------
The good message: I have dri working on my Amilo A. Smoothly Tux slides down the
           hills in tuxracer...
The bad message: I have no no usb-mouse (usb-ohci.o), no sound (trident.o) and
no network (8139too alias eth0). All these modules got IRQ No.11 and lead to a
system crash when they are used. The radeon.o module that causes these crashs
has IRQ No.5. I tried to change IRQs (Compiling the kernel with
PCI Access_Mode=Direct and setting the option pci=nobios in the Bootprompt).
Then I tried to change the IRQs of the modules in /etc/modules.conf. But linux
did not care about and always uses the "IRQ router ALI". This is a piece of the
bootlog (dmesg):

<6>PCI: Using configuration type 1
<6>PCI: Probing PCI hardware
<4>PCI: ACPI tables contain no PCI IRQ routing entries
<4>PCI: Probing PCI hardware (bus 00)
<6>PCI: Using IRQ router ALI [10b9/1533] at 00:07.0

Has someone an idea how to outfox the IRQ router? Or another idea how to get
these modules working with dri enabled?
